Am 10. Dezember spielt Midori die deutsche Erstaufführung des ihr gewidmeten Violinkonzert von Detlev Glanert mit dem NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester unter der Leitung von Brad Lubman. Glanerts Violinkonzert Nr. 2 entstand nach der inhaltlichen Vorlage von Beethovens Brief an die „Untsterbliche Geliebte“ und ist wie der Brief selbst dreiteilig arrangiert. 10. Dezember Hamburg, Elbphilharmonie NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, Brad Lubmann Midori – Violine Glanert: Violinkonzert Nr. 2 “An die Unsterbliche Geliebte” Das Konzert wird am 10. Dezember um 20:00 Uhr auf NDR Kultur übertragen.
Dieses Wochenende, am 5. Und 6. November wird Midori mit dem Royal Scottish National Orchestra die Uraufführung von Detlev Glanerts Violinkonzert Nr.2 “”An die Unsterbliche Geliebte” spielen. Detlev Glanert (Photo: Bettina Stöss) The original plan was for Midori to give the premiere of Detlev Glanert’s new Violin Concerto No 2 (To the Immortal Beloved) alongside Beethoven’s violin concerto as part of her 2020/2021 Residency with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO). Needless-to-say, Covid-19 put paid to that plan. Written for Midori, the concerto, a four-way commission among the RSNO, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester (Hamburg), Suntory Hall (Tokyo) and the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic, will finally be unveiled in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Hamburg in November and December 2021. Mail in Weimar an der Hochschule Für Musik FRANZ LISZT statt und umfasst Einzelunterricht, Orchesterstudio und Teilnehmerkonzerte am Ende des Kurses.
